The Righteous not so purr-fect Miss Pussy head
A politically correct textile sculpture complete with a pink pussy hat representing the global movement for women’s rights and human rights.
I found this straw-filled doll body with only her socks, no head, no arms. Kind of like the scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz all pliable and lossy goosey.
I used a vintage Indigo mudcloth for her head first, inspired by the white angular pattern that I thought would be great eyelashes. Then I further thought as I went along that only 1 eye would be embroidered Turquoise.
She is full of good luck with 5 Milagros (Spanish miracle charms) 3 stitched on her body and the 2 earrings.
She is made with a vintage Indigo African mud cloth and vintage stitched Kantha scraps
I love her little cotton striped knit socks (the only original item included on her body when I got her). I Stitched the holes and added her shoes. These Milagros are from Mexico.
